Hi, nice to meet you!
Hi and welcome to Aephemeral! My name is Assia Zaraoui (20) and I’ve started this blog as a platform to share and document my knowledge on living a fit and healthy lifestyle.
I am currently in the process of becoming a Certified Personal Trainer, while also in the final stages of completing my BA in Political Science. Which is not something I am particularly passionate about. That’s why I started this blog. To share my knowledge and help others out there.
I have taken part in a new health program and gained the following certificate: EQF Level 2 Certified Healthy Lifestyle Promoter. And I am 100% sure there will be plenty more!
Today, I’m proud to call myself a unique flowerpot—one with an engraved marathon medaille.
Growing up, I was not fit or athletic whatsoever. I hated PE during high school and did everything I could to avoid participating. I still remember my PE teacher telling me, “You’re such a flower pot; you’re only standing there for decoration.” That was me. And I would lie if I said it didn’t make me feel bad about myself. Nearly 10 years later, the fact that I still remember it says enough.
But guess what? Back then, I thought I was beyond help. Years later, I learned just how much power beliefs hold. That comment stayed with me, but crossing the finish line of a marathon in 5 hours and 11 minutes, made me smile. It was a moment that proved change is possible when you decide to take control and commit to the process.
Along with other challenges I faced during my childhood, these experiences shaped the person I am today. Things didn’t change until one day, after many failed attempts already, I decided: enough is enough. I was tired of feeling exhausted all the time, tired of being insecure about my body, and tired of the regret I felt every time I ate something I “wasn’t supposed to.”
At 17, I joined the gym with no experience, no guidance, and only the internet to piece together exercises. It wasn’t just as simple as showing up—as you might know yourself, the journey is full of ups and downs. What kept me motivated was realizing that no one else was going to do this for me—it was entirely up to me.

What I Can Do For You

Now, I’ve reached a point where I feel ready to share what I’ve learned from my personal journey toward a fit lifestyle. Through this blog, I hope to create a platform where you can find authentic and inspiring content—workouts, mindset shifts, and actionable advice—to help you navigate your own challenges and grow stronger from them.
I’ll be sharing insights from my personal fitness journey, combined with the in-depth theoretical knowledge I’m gaining through my current PT course, to provide well-rounded and practical guidance.
My goal is to empower you to take control of your life, no matter where you’re starting from, because it’s never too late to rewrite your story.
This isn’t about selling snake oil or sugarcoating things.
It’s about confronting your own shortcomings and discovering that you have everything within you to overcome your obstacles.
Your beliefs stand between you and your new reality
